Today, Care@home has expanded to provide a comprehensive range of services including Home Personal Care which comprises of companionship, personal hygiene, and respite care etc (read here for more), Home Nursing, Home Therapy, Home Medical and Interim Caregiver Service.
Care@home has a team of Care Associates, Doctors, Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and trained caregivers, who deliver home care services. These services are not limited to seniors, but also individuals in need of assistance to recuperate and who do not have a caregiver at home.
More recently, NTUC Health has worked with the government to pilot Interim Caregiver Services where elderly and individuals who are discharged from hospitals and awaiting permanent caregiving arrangements (eg. arrival of domestic workers), can be taken care of in their homes.
Care@home actively seeks to address health and elder care needs as the population ages. Care@home works closely with the government to develop the Place and Train programme in 2013 to encourage more people including back-to-work mothers and mid-career professionals, to join the health and eldercare sector. Caregivers training is also available for family members and domestic workers on the proper techniques of care.To find out more about Care@home services, please click here.
