The physiotherapist at NTUC Health's Rehabilitation & Physiotherapy centre in Serangoon has patiently guided me through this arduous journey and encouraged me to continue to work hard and progress. My arms, hands and fingers are very much stronger now. Recently I was able to move my right toe and little toe. It means so much to me!
Ravindran Narayanan, Community Rehab client
Physiotherapist Kyi Kyi Khiang is very professional and patient during the treatment sessions. She also teaches and ensures that my caregiver understands the necessary exercises to help my father perform at home. All these have helped him to regain his full strength and mobility after the therapy sessions.
Mr Jason Lau, son of Lau Hung Seng, Community Rehab client
My 71 year-old mother had an ischemic stroke. Her physiotherapist was very encouraging and professional. She was instrumental in reducing my mom's anxiety and fear of falling as we worked on her gait and stamina. We were able to switch to using video calls (TeleRehab) on certain occasions to maintain the momentum of my mother's rehabilitation at home. My mother went from being only able to walk for 2-3 minutes at a time to being able to walk with a walking stick for half an hour confidently by herself after 4 months of therapy.
Ms Hoong Yunwei, daughter of Community Rehab client
The rehabilitation centre has provided excellent and useful therapy services for my mum. The therapists, Yian Nee, Yu Fang and Jenny are warm, friendly, attentive and accommodative to our needs. Under their care, my mum has shown remarkable improvement in her movements and daily activities!
Ms Cath Thong, daughter of Community Rehab client
l enjoyed going there everyday as I received really good care from the Centre Manager, nurses & staff. They are very patient, helpful and caring to seniors. After rehab and exercise for about two months, I improved. Now no wheelchair for me and I am able to walk by myself with a walking stick. The environment is good and very clean.
