We help seniors continue to live independently at home, work, and in the community.
Occupational therapy aims to help your loved one perform essential daily tasks such as bathing and meal preparation so that they can adjust back into their usual life at home, work, and society.
Types of Occupational Therapy
Modes of Treatment
My husband is a Parkinson's patient and is bed-bound and on tube feeding. We have gone to many Occupational Therapists but so far, Miss Chai’s knowledge, expertise, and dedication is an eye-opener for me. She gave very sound advice on the suitability of the different types of ramps for my home. She taught my husband & helper the right methods to exercise and transfer from bed to the wheelchair.
Mdm Chong, wife of Home Therapy client
My mother suffered a severe stroke. She was fortunate to receive excellent physiotherapy and occupational therapy at home on a weekly basis. The therapists taught my helpers how to help and do the exercises with my mum. Their patience, care and dedication helped my mum to gain some independence. The speech therapists were also wonderful. With a collective effort from all sides we could reduce my mum's visits to the hospital and that was indeed a huge blessing. A big heartfelt thanks to everyone in my Mum's therapy team!
Gloria Pereira daughter of Home Therapy client
Since beginning physiotherapy and occupational therapy, I have built up my confidence to take up independent tasks, even standing and balancing for longer periods of time without any assistance.
Melinda Goh, client at Day Rehab
After 8 sessions of Home Therapy, my Granny's muscle strength and stamina have improved. The physiotherapist also went beyond her call of duty to recommend a Senior Activity Centre near my Granny's home. She did not just help my Granny regain her physical strength, but also her mental health and confidence. We are more than thankful for her help.
Edna, granddaughter of Home Therapy client
The team is professional and caring. We really appreciate the assistance with getting the equipment needed to help my Dad stay mobile.
Tan Choy Kim, daughter of Day Rehab client

Patients recovering from a recent or past stroke can access occupational therapy at a Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy centre, or seek our Home Therapy services.
The first 1 or 2 sessions involve a comprehensive assessment of a client's ability to function as well as a conversation about setting goals for recovery.
Subsequent sessions include stroke education, caregiver training, training on functional abilities and a home exercise programme. A physiotherapist will prescribe exercise that improve the patient's muscle strength, range of motion, balance and ability to perform daily tasks. A physiotherapist may also help in gait retraining to help patients with their walking abilities.
Occupational therapists can also help with providing recommendations for making the home a more suitable place to recover in, as well as provide a prescription for Assistive Mobility Devices. If client is assessed to have cognitive impairment, the occupational therapist will provide cognitive rehabilitation.
Finally, a speech therapist can also help the patient with improving their speaking and swallowing abilities.
Patients who have cerebral palsy and are unable to access therapy at a Day Rehab centre can seek Home Therapy services.
