Dr Tiju Krishnan

B.D.S. (Glasgow)

Dental Locations

He spent most of his early years of work experience in the UK working in general practice in the NHS where he gained invaluable experience in many areas of dentistry including oral surgery, restorative dentistry, pedodontics, prosthodontics and endodontics.

He has also had extensive experience in adopting hypnotherapy techniques for dealing with very anxious and dentally phobic patients.

Past hospital experience included oral surgery attachments at Glasgow Royal Infirmary, Dental Implantology at Perth Royal Infirmary, as well as the Resident Dental Officer at the Queen Margaret Hospital in Dunfermline providing weekend/out-of-hours emergency dental services for patients with acute pain/dental trauma.

His later years in the UK were based in Scotland’s capital, Edinburgh where he worked as a General Dental Practitioner in private practice before relocating to Singapore in 2001.

During his period in Singapore, Dr Krishnan had spent the last 22 years working with NTUC Denticare (now NTUC Health Denticare) where, since 2006 he has been the appointed Practice Manager at Ang Mo Kio Branch and has also served as the Clinical Advisory Board Member for NTUC HEALTHCARE Group from 2014 to 2016.

He finds great satisfaction in improving the oral health, function and smiles of both returning and new patients and is committed to providing the best possible comprehensive dental care and experience through his meticulous and caring approach.

Dr Krishnan has also served in the past providing volunteer dental outreach services in collaboration with an ophthalmology, general medical and gynaecological team to the less fortunate in some of the most remote regions of Asia in places such as Cambodia, Vietnam, Philippines and Ladakh.

I believe my past training in hypnotherapy and relaxation techniques has taught me invaluable and lifelong skills centred in empathy and caring, thus allowing me to make even the most anxious patients feel comfortable and relaxed within minutes of meeting with me.

Dr Krishnan enjoys travelling extensively and attending dental conferences internationally. In his spare time he also enjoys playing golf and is a fully qualified recreational diver with qualifications from both the British Sub-Aqua Club and PADI. He is currently in the midst of qualification for his US and UK Private Pilots Licence.

Dr Krishnan’s motto: “Treat every patient AS your family… but never treat family!”
