SPEECH THERAPY

Speech Therapy aims to help individuals manage various conditions affecting an individual’s ability to communicate, eat and drink. It involves exercises of the face, mouth and throat muscles in order to improve swallowing; as well as exercises to stimulate language processing as well as engaging in conversations with familiar and unfamiliar partners. Strategies to improve swallowing and communication in daily activities, will also be taught.
You or your loved ones may need Speech Therapy when you or they:

  • Need help to eat and drink safely
  • Need help to understand better e.g. during conversations
  • Need help to speak better
  • Need help to communicate for daily and occupational needs
